AdvSNMPSubagent Release Notes

Platform MIB file upgraded to support SNMPv3 master agent and trap/notification v3 type.
Support sending out RAID trap events for Advantech Net-SNMP SNMPv3 master agent.

Align the Event ID with IRST RAID events by subtracting 7000. This adjustment is made to ensure that the custom message ID falls within the valid range of 1 - 1000 for Windows Events. The following IDs are provided for your reference.

1. The SNMP Subagent is based on the Windows SNMP service. You must install the Windows SNMP service on the supported operating systems. You can check the services snap-in under Administrative Tools in Windows Control Panel. If the SNMP service does not exist, you need to turn on the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) in Windows Features.

2. Support Intel IRST driver package above, this version does not output the message to Windows Event for RAID event, so we using rstcli64.exe to polling the RAID status and report it to SNMP raidObj object.

3. The rstcli64.exe need to be copy to /windows/system32 by users since it needs match the version of the RAID driver package that we don't have that execution file. If you install IRST v19.1 package, you need to have extra rstcli64.exe under IRST v19.1.

4. To avoid raidObj responsed abnormal, we strongly recommend that rstcli64.exe version must be consistent with IRST driver version.

SNMP Subagent

This utility provides interfaces for retrieving Advantech hardware and software information and monitoring the health status on the network using the SNMP protocol.

MIB Files include advantech-common-mib.mib and ADVANTECH-PLATFORMS-MIB.mib stands for Management Information Base and is a collection of information organized hierarchically.
