2. Release Overview

WebAccess X-Series V10.2.1 is the first release of the next-generation Advantech WebAccess SCADA platform.

This release introduces a new system architecture designed to provide centralized project management, distributed data acquisition, built-in visualization, historical data management, alarm handling, enterprise user integration, and northbound data connectivity in a unified SCADA environment.

WebAccess X-Series consists primarily of:

l   Project Node – Centralized project configuration, user management, license management, Data Node management, and EdgeView visualization services.

l   Data Node – Runtime services for field data acquisition, alarm processing, historical data logging, protocol services, database connectivity, and other operational data functions.

l   EdgeView – Built-in visualization environment for HMI screens, dashboards, alarm views, trends, and operator interaction.
